Pastor Annie B. Lewis

Pastor Annie B. Lewis is a native of Flatwood, Alabama.  It was there where she began her walk with the Lord. At the age of 12, she was born again.  While growing up in Alabama she was faithful and active in the work of the Lord. 

 

Her life has been directed by God from Alabama, to New York, and to Connecticut.  In 1985, Pastor Lewis received the call to preach the uncompromised Word of God. “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel” – Mark 16:15.  It was from this point that her education concerning the Word of God began.  She is a graduate of the United Christian College of Brooklyn, NY, the Shiloh Academy of Ministries and Capital Community College. She received her Bachelor of Religion Education, Master of Religion Education, Bachelor of Theology and certificate in Counseling from United Christian College Brooklyn, NY.

 

Pastor Lewis is a licensed and ordained minister and is an anointed woman of God that faithfully serves the Lord.  Her favorite scripture comes from Luke 4: 18 & 19 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

 

She has worked in all facets of Ministry and has held various positions in the church such as:  Superintendent of Sunday School, Church Secretary, Youth Director, Worship Coordinator, Director of Christian Education, Associate Minister and Pastor’s Assistant.

 

In 1995 Pastor Lewis was led to Victory Church under the leadership of Pastor David F. Hunter. She assisted him in various areas of ministry including stepping in to pastor for a period of time.

 

In 2004 she joined Sanctuary of Faith and Glory Church under the leadership of Apostle Felton O. Best.  She worked in many areas of ministry including the following: Director of the Ministers Board, Intercessory Prayer Leader, International Trainer for Ministerial Ethics and taught in the School of Ministry. 

 

Pastor Lewis released her first published book in 2016 called “The Gathering: Growing up in Alabama”. A story of faith, hope and courage; showing that you can make it from the backside of the mountain to the mountaintop.

 

November 2016 the Lord called her to establish Higher Heights Prayer and Deliverance Ministry. She started bible study and after much prayer and fasting the doors of the church were opened on Sunday, January 15, 2017.

 

She is married to Tommie Lewis, Jr.  God has blessed them with three children:  Renee, a son-in-law Leonard, Petrina, and Melissa; and five grandchildren, Leonard Jr., Le’Rone Jr., Xarea, Xavier, and Brielle, and one great-child, Mya Lockhart.
